Recipes for Paella and Ratatouille & Recipe Template
This worksheet uses two examples (paella and ratatouille) to teach students how to create recipes. Then teachers can give their students the blank version.
Lesson 1: Introduce the meal, find out where it is from a draw a picture of it.
Lesson 2: Students write the ingredients. Cut up the ingredients strips and separate students into A and B. A finds the strips around the room and tells B the ingredients who then writes them down.
Lesson 3: Sentence strip dictation. Hand out the sentence strips to individual students. Each student must ask other students which sentence they have and write it on the line under "how to make". Once they have all the sentences, the recipe is complete.
