List of great literature for teenagers. Includes blurbs (mix of 24 classics and contemporary novels). List of great literature for teenagers. Includes blurbs (mix of 24 classics and contemporary novels).

I´ve spent many hours searching the internet for excellent readers for my grade 10-students (age 15 - 17). What I have eventually come up with is a list of 24 novels (both classics and modern literature). The aim is that my students give me their top 3. My task is then to put the students together in readers´ groups according to the book they like most (so it is most likely they will have to work together with students from other classes, another enrichening detail). As a group they will have to complete a number of alternative assignments concerning the book they´ve read. I´m still thinking of the assignments, but I will upload this too from as soon as everything has been worked out. One thing is certain: it won´t be the ordinary book report ;) (ideas are welcome and appreciated ;) ). Each title has the blurb that comes with the book so it is a bit easier for students to decide upon their top 3.
