Shopping At The Japanese Convenience Store (Part 2)
I had to split up the worksheet due to size. Please download the other parts to get the whole worksheet.
This is 2/2 of the list of items the students have to choose from to and make their shopping list. Each student "has" 1,000 yen to spend. They have to write down what item they want to buy, what flavour or size, and how much it costs and add up the total once theyīre done. NOTE: YOU WILL HAVE TO USE FAKE MONEY OR PRINT AND PHOTOCOPY BILLS AND CREDIT CARDS FOR STUDENTS TO USE IN CLASS. When the whole class has finished give each student 2 bills and one credit card. Go over the dialogue and make sure that they understand the meaning of each sentence. Students will play "rock, scissors, paper" with a partner and the winner becomes the shop assistant, the loser becomes the customer. At the end when the customer is asked how they would like to pay, the student who is the customer chooses whether they will give one note or one credit card to the other student when they say "Here you are". The two goals are for students to buy everything off their shopping list but also to try and win as many bills and credit cards as possible from other students.
