Asking for information - Train Times communication activity with comparatives Asking for information - Train Times communication activity with comparatives

This is a speaking activity for up to 4 students per group. If you have more, you can pair people up. Students ask each other for missing information about the train arrival and departures, train numbers and platform numbers for various cities in the UK. Once they finish the conversation they need to work out the time it took each train to reach its destination so that they can answer the comparative questions about the trains. This activity practices real conversation for asking and answering questions and getting information in a real context and also revises the grammatical structure of comparatives.
