Earth Song by Michael Jackson
Earth Song is appropriate for pre-intermediate or above students for practising vocabulary related to pollution and other environmental issues via authentic listening material. The first part of the song is slow, easy to understand. The second half is a real challenge. I have done two tasks. In the first one the sentences are mixed up. If you have some time, cut up the lines, itīs more fun. If you canīt, just give out the worksheet. This covers only the first half of the song, the slower part. The second exercise is a gap fill, in the first part without, in the second half with words given to choose from. At the end of the tasksheet I have included the key for both exercises. Have fun!
