A chart of some cooking techniques
Tip: In the last column, students give their own examples or translate the examples given by the teacher in the native language.
Ultimately, all of the columns, or some of them, can be left blank so that the students fill them out themselves. I usually leave the second and the third ones empty.
I usually ask the students about their favorite cooking techniques, reasons why is it so. In pairs, students can then decide about the easiest and the most difficult cooking technique, which one is healthy and which one unhealthy and give their reasons why, the class can even conduct a survey about these questions, the possibilities are many. If there is a kitchen in the school, students can demonstrate some of these techniques describing the stages and giving the reasons why it is done.
