Are you free on Friday?
A nice activity to practice how to invite somebody to do something together. The aim of the game to find a partner for each activity. To do so, students have to move round the class asking: Are you free on Monday/Tuesday etc. If a person doesn´t have any plans (no plans) on that day, he/she accepts the invitation. If the person has some plans - Sorry, I´m busy. At the end of the game all students (a goup of 7) have to find a partner and discuss what are they doing the upcoming week. Useful phrases: Are you free on ...? Do you fancy going ...? Would you like to go ...? what about going to ...? Yes, I´d love to / with pleasure. No, sorry, I´m busy / Maybe next time. etc
