Listening Comprehension: Sky Brown
In this exercise, students learn how to listen to a video without panicking because they don´t understand everything. They expect to listen several times (the exercise says 3 but I generally do 5 or so) and to discern information at a deeper level of detail each time. I play the video from 0-2:30 at a speed of 0.75 and repeat until they feel confident about their answers. I don´t start and stop it until we are correcting. Subtitles can be useful, but there are a couple of errors in the subtitles for this video. The video is titled "Surf and Skate Wonder Kid Sky Brown eyeing Tokyo 2020 | Exclusive Interview" and published by the Olympic Channel.
