Alphabet and writing practice.
Each student closes their eyes while they have a pencil in their hand. They should make imaginary circles above p3 (the mixed up alphabet sheet). You, the teacher, shouts “stop” and they need to stop and pin point to where ever their pencil last was. This is how they “select” the alphabet letter they are going to write about.
Next, they need to run to the table with the alphabet cards, search for the right letter and run back to their chair. They can start writing as soon as they are sitting down.
My worksheet allows 5 words, for example “Aa” I would write down, “apple, aunt, ant, art and ape”. The student that wrote the most words wins a point. This been said, everything happens in 30seconds. The energy is high in the class and everyone is excited to get theirs finished first. Be sure you have control in your classroom
