Girl and boy stereotypes -groupwork and a discussion worksheet
Girl and boy stereotypes -groupwork and a discussion
This is a lead-in to a class discussion about whether stereotypes still exist nowadays regarding boys and girls. Do our students still hold stereotypical views? Divide the students into small groups and have them discuss the questions listed in the 2 charts. Then have one of the group members jot down the groupīs opinions.
Finally gather the students and create a similar chart on the board where you can jot down the ideas each group has come up with. What did the groups have in common? what was unique to one group only? What can be inferred from the findings? This is a great opportunity for the kids to voice their opinions in English, while following guidelines of always expressing their thoughts respectfully and politely. A fun activity which works really well in almost all classes!
