100 Secrets of Canadian Culture - Sample Chapters
There are many unwritten rules in Canada that newcomers and their families need to know to succeed. With a lifetime of experience in Canada as an educator, a mother of three, and as a worker in banking, computers, marketing and employment counselling, I have discovered that a lot of the social rules in Canada aren’t clearly explained anywhere. As a teacher of English as a Second Language for more than thirty years, I have shared most of these ‘secrets’ with my newcomer ESL students, who have told me that this information really helped them to integrate into Canada, and it is at their request that I wrote this book. Keep in mind, however, that these are MY OPINIONS about things newcomers should know.
