| | Travel Agent Adjectives: Gradable and Non-gradable Consolidation
More a writing than a reading exercise as the intention is to show students how to embellish their written texts and move away from just saying everything is "very adjective." The students read the texts aloud and then replace the words in bold with some of those from the box above. Most of them are non-gradable adjectives, but not all. You can then get them to say whether they think words like "butterly, absolutely, really," etc. would sound good with the replacements. Basically, the idea is to show how an A2 text can be transformed into a B1 text by changing the choice of words.
