converting time measurement units
Ss sit and work in groups.
- T introduces the game Who is the fastest?
- T tells the rules and then gives each group a set of cards:
Ss take turn to pick 1 card. (BLUE easy. YELLOW more difficult)
Ss read a problem aloud.
All members listen and solve the problem.
Ss who know the answer first can raise their hand and say meow to answer.
If the answer is correct, ss get 1 flower.
*DO NOT write on the cards, ask ss to use draft and pencils on their tables if needed.
*ANSWERS are at the back of the cards.
- T gives ss some examples.
1. Which is longer 4 weeks or 40 days?
The longer is 40 days.
2. I wash my hair in 5 minutes. How many seconds do I wash my hair?
1 minute equals 60s. 5 minutes equal 300s.
