ROUTINES: Whodunnit reading comprehension (Solve the crime)
The idea behind this is that someone has broken the classroom window, but no one will admit to it. This exercise contains written versions of the interviews with the suspects in which they explain their daily routine. It is the job of the English language learners to work out who broke the window. They can do this by comparing the suspectsī daily routines and the times they were at school. It is a good way of practicing grammar and reading while keeping students interested, by giving them the challenge of solving the crime.
