This ws aims at showing my (intermediate and upper-intermediate) ss clearly the kind of performance they are expected to achieve the day of their oral exam as part of their national bacalaureat. The first sheet represents some pictures with a few questions and some vocabulary. The second sheet should be considered as a sort of KEY, at least a proposition. I always start with a brief brainstorming session around the subject. Then I hand out the pictures + questions to elicit further discussion. Finally I give them the second sheet. We read it sheet together explaining progressively structures and vocabulary. The day of their exam they´ll have to be autonomous. No questions or added vocabulary whatsoever. They will be confronted with the pictures only ! My pictures are either related to the Anglo-Saxon world or topical issues such as the environment. This one deals with how the west was progressively won I hope this could be helpful to any of you too!
