Narratives Narratives

This worksheet is a writing scaffolding exercise. It contains two short stories. After reading students have to fill in a table to show the different parts of a narrative (orientation, complication, resolution, etc.) I found it was hard to get my students to use these elements in their writing without showing them very simple, specific examples first. After doing this activity all my students were able to plan and write narratives with better structure.
