This is a video lesson based on an old Sherlock Holmes serial episode. It is not well known so the students may solve the crime with the detective. Stop every now and then and ask the students to add CHARACTERS/ SUSPECTS/EVIDENCE on the board and discuss what happened - and give you their solution to the crime. It is best done a few times 1) after the conversation with the vicar announcing the crime 2) the scene around the table for the first exercise 3) the scene in the second exercise ( second murder ) The end of the episode has the solution. The two activities help them understand the key scenes.
