Cinquain Poems - Didactic and American Cinquain worksheet

This worksheet teaches about two forms of the Cinquain Poem, the didactic and American type. Both are contemporary types. For both types five examples each are provided (credited where possible) The first page (Didactic Cinquain) provides topic ideas and simple instructions for students to write their own Cinquain poem. The second page (American Cinquain) provides -very very briefly - its historic background, but leaves it open whether or not students should attempt writing this more difficult form.
