SUMMERTIME POEM SUMMERTIME POEM

This is a nice activity to round off the summer term. It involves writing a cinquain poem:- a simple 5 line poem with a set structure. the students read an example, brain storm for words, then they choose their favourite words to put them in the poem. they can then make other poems on subjects of their choice. My students wrote some poems for me and illustrated them. Now I have a pretty souvenir of each of them.
