The song, "Everything at Once" is full of similes such as: as strong as an ox, sly as a fox, as quiet as a mouse, as big as a house, etc. For each stanza of the song, students may refer to a wordbox to fill in the missing adjectives for each simile. Students will practice their comprehension of adjectives words, and demonstrate understanding of similes. Lower-level students may fill in the blanks based on the words they hear in the song, rather than based on meaning--thereby practicing auditory comprehension.
