Planet Jano worksheet

A reading comprehension with cloze, True/False and numbering paragraphs in the correct order. I used this with a class of boys. They had been studying planets. This was a model text for them to then create their own text about a newly discovered planet and write about it using the reading text as a model. I brought in coloured pictures of strange planets which i had printed off the internet. They chose one and then named their new planet. They used the paragraph headings in ex 3 to make a template for a plan in their notebooks with their own ideas. They then wrote their own descriptions of their newly discovered planets. It worked well!
