Cosmetics and Directions of Usage
This is a worksheet that trains students on defining certain cosmetic products and learning how to read directions.
Lesson Plan/Instructions:
1) Define the words "cosmetic product". Tell students to match the few pictures on the first page with the directions on the second page. Make them guess first.
2) Then check answers at class level and name the products on the first page. eg:) mascara, shampoo, deodorant, refining mask, lipstick, perfume, etc.
3) Have them identify all the verbs in the directions by underlining. Tell them to circle any other words they donīt understand. After appropriate time is given for completion, clarify all the vocabulary (verbs and other words) at class level.
4) Go to the third page and clarify all vocabulary of what all those products are in the chart. Have them put those products in the correct category. Check at class level after.
5) Finally, you can tell the students to use those verbs and create their own directions for a product and test how much they learned. Pair students up if possible for this activity.
6) For an extra activity, you can tell students to create sentences using the verbs taught in the directions.
