Your Foreign teacher is Dead!! Your Foreign teacher is Dead!!

A murder mystery I wrote for one of my university classes, not too difficult if they follow the clues. Initially I choose student number 5 as the killer but you could conceivably choose any of the others. Zhao Yang was my Chinese name at the time, feel free to change it. First make a list of any vocabulary you think your students wouldn´t know, then you can either read the story to your class, silent reading, read row-by-row or any other way you wish. Once the story is read and understood, start handing out the clues to your students equally. Choose 6 students as the suspects, and talk with each privately to answer any questions they may have about their role and/or to tell them that they are the killer and why. Give the class time to go over all the clues (this can be done as a group activity) and to question the suspects, once completed (15 min at most), bring the 6 suspects to the front and ask the class to vote on who they think is the killer and why. As an extension, you could also ask the students what would happen to the killer in their country? What should happen to the killer in your class? Hope you enjoy it. My classes always did, most classes found it easy.
