Sports Riddles
Sports riddles. Each Sport has 5 facts listed about it. They way that I did it was that if the student got the riddle after the first clue, he got 5 points... after the second clue, 4 points, and so on. If the student answered with the wrong sport, then they would lose 2 points.
They were earning sports for their team as I have 35 boys in my classes, but I am sure that this could work on an individual basis as well.
The only hard part is that after the first clue, more than one sport could be the answer. The way that I dealt with that was that in the lower level courses I said that it wasn´t the sport that I was looking for, and took no points. In the higher level classes I said that they should have realized that there would be more than one correct answer, and took off the points anyway.
The winning team of the riddle competition recieved a sticker for their team poster.
