k sound: spelling
Elementary - pre-intermediate
This worksheet focuses on the challenge of spelling the /k/ sound correctly in the beginning and end of a word, as well as the /kw/ sound.
There´s a short introduction first, and then a task where the pupils fill in with the correct letter(s). The introduction can be explained by the teacher at the beginner level and, the pupils can read it themselves at elementary or pre-intermediate level.
After each task, there is a list of example words that can be used as spelling challenges for the pupils. In my class, they love to write on the board, so I often say words for them to write.
The tasks are quite simple to correct, but there is an answer key at the end if the pupils should want to correct their own papers.
