BBC News Videos Week 4
Sorry about the misleading title. My original intention was to produce one a week (honest!) But my students are too far behind, and I like to keep the videos as up to date as possible. This has meant waiting for them to catch up a bit. As it is the fastest student is just now doing the video about the swine flu outbreak in Mexico. :)
BBC News Video Week 4: 4 (thatīs four) BBC News Videos including: Links, Scripts, Hyper linked vocabulary a final vocabulary and grammar test, and teacher instructions It should last about 7.5 hours of classes if you follow the instructions. It does for me.
The videos are: 1. Is fusion energy the future. 2. Lawnmower riders stage reunion. 3. Primary Science SATīs scrapped. 4. Ten US banks fail Stress Test.
N.B.
I script these videos myself so please forgive the occasional error. The BBC sometimes changes the videos, so the links can be lost (it happens very rarely but check before hand). when following the hyperlinks referring to thefreedictionary.com be aware you might need to scroll down to the appropriate explanation. To those referring to images, please point to the best one for the student. (These ws are designed for adults, the images occasional show something sexy, medical, freaky, upsetting etc...) Some hyperlinks reference wikipedia for a further reading exercise. The level for these is at least 400 TOEIC. For lower level students you can allow them to read and follow if they donīt get anything.
