Phonics Tongue Twisters- practicing W, S, Z, P
Students, particularly Korean students, can have a lot of trouble with the W, S, Z, P sounds. These tongue twisters help to differentiate between similar phonics and practice the target phonics. Start slowly- demonstrate and read it first to the students, repeat line after line, then get them to read it slowly, then speed up, so they will repeat the same tongue twister 3 times. Time students to see who can win a tongue twister race (correctly pronounced!)
I also help students to use these warm-ups for students before they make a speech, so their enunciation is clearer.
