How was your weekend
This is a lesson/worksheet to get kids talking in English about things they did on the weekend. Before handing out this page I usually go start with a warm up and ask kids about what they did last night or yesterday to set the tone. Also, you may want to write up a mini dialouge about asking/talking about the weekend that you can then use to practice listen and repeat as a group and then pair work. Hand out this page face DOWN and tell the kids that they will hear a short conversation between two friends. set the scene by writing the characters names up on the board, a setting and maybe their attitudes if you want. Then, ask the kids to listen and try to remember 3 questions from the listening (just make up anything that applies) Read the conversation 2 times, then ellicit and write the answers to the listening up. (tell the kids they can use the back of the worksheet to write down notes) after that, turn the page over and practice the conversation by doing some listen and repeat. Have kids break off into pairs or groups and role play the conversation. The rest of the worksheet should be easy to follow.
Cheers!
