IN MY OPINION Interviews
This worksheet is great for getting beginner to intermediate students prepared for expressing their opinions and debating. In a prior lesson I teach them the new words, brainstorm "hot topics" and together we create opinion statements. I also teach them to recognize the difference between opinions and truths!
Then, with this worksheet, they can create three of their own opinion statements after reviewing the pros and cons. I encourage them to get creative, and create two opinion statements they themselves agree with, and one they donīt. Keeps it interesting!
Next, they will interview each of their classmates and write their name in the box with the appropriate response. The goal is to get a name in each of the boxes, with genuine responses. Itīs fun to watch them learn about eachother.
A couple of review questions at the end will help us review.
