Discussion card game
A card game to prompt discussion in small groups based on the card game ´Doubt´.
20 question and response cards divided bewteen 4 students.
10 topic cards on table.
Students choose a topic and begin the discussion.
Students take turns to continue the discussion.
Ver.1: If students use the target language of one of their cards they can put the card down.
Ver. 2: Students can put a card face down whenever they speak if they choose to, whether they use the target language or not. If the other student don´t believe the card corresponse to what was said, they can challenge it with a "Really?" or something along those lines.
The aim is to use all of the cards in one´s hand.
This is a review activity which requires the students to be familiar with the different targets and then try to integrate them.
