Rat Race Discussion & Vocabulary
This HILARIOUS 2001 film of a race to win $2 million dollars is very popular with my students, some of whom have bought the DVD as gifts for their families and friends after we studied it in class. I have seen it 50+ times, and I still laugh!

The fantastic cast includes John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Seth Green, and Amy Smart.
Here is a list of useful vocabulary and discussion questions for after viewing the film. You will probably have to explain who Klaus Barbie was AFTER the museum visit (definitely NOT before!).

(The font for the title of the worksheet is Goudy Old Style, which is the same as the film title’s. You may need to change the font so that everything fits onto one page.)
The sheet has pictures of funnels and prairie dogs. If you don’t know anything about prairie dogs, please look it up so that you understand the joke about the girl "prairie dogging.")
