Stimulus-based discussion
A role-play activity. Students should discuss and object or express agreement/disagreement and give reasons, suggestions, come up with alternatives. Reaching an agreement, makin up a plan in English language. It can be challenging for some students, especially if they are not used to this type of activity, but the more the practise, the better they get...and isnï¿½t this the point when learning a language? :) They should be using "diplomatic language" e.g. "I donï¿½t think this is a good idea because...." "I don´t think he/she is keen on (..) so why donï¿½t we try something else?" etc.
