The Monkey King Play Script
This play is based on ‘The Monkey King’ story. There are different versions of the story. In this one a big dancing competition takes place. The play was written by me for my class assembly. It is designed for 8 characters and a narrator but you can add or reduce the number of characters according to your class size. This story was acted out by my SS of 8-10 years old and it really helped with their spoken English. My SS had a good time practicing and their final performance was great. It is important to have really nice music for the dancing parts to make the play look and sound exciting. I have the songs names, lyrics and mp3 if you would like me to email them to you.
