Cultural identities
Break your class into small groups of equal size. Cut out the cultural identities from the printout and give one identity to each person in the group. They canīt show anyone else their identity. They discuss a topic in which they need to come to an agreement or produce a proposal. There will be confusion over how to do this because of conflicting cultural identities! After about 8-10 minutes, or when they actually do reach an agreement, take time to talk about how easy/difficult it was to come to an agreement, and why. Have them reveal their cultural identity. Ask them what they could have done to understand their colleagues more.
