Plays Plays

There are 9 different plays that I have made up that I always use as a 1-2 weeks assignment in my classes. Students are put into groups of 4 and given their play. I give them half a class to brainstorm and I go around to each group and give them some ideas/suggestions. I also tell my students no papers for the plays. They must memorize their lines. Finally I have them turn in one copy of all their lines and I read over them and the next class show them some common mistakes that they have made. I am always amazed at how well they do and how funny and original some of the plays are. Also, it a great chance to have the kids perform in front of their classmates. I hope you have fun with this like I have.
