Green Card (based on ´Alibi´) Roleplay Game
This is a terrific activity based on the classic ´alibi´ roleplay. Here, students are grouped into 4/5s and assigned a role: husband, wife, immigration officers.
Situation: A husband and wife are under investigation for allegedly marrying solely in order to qualify for a green card - which allows them to live in the USA. (See movie of same name)
The husband and wife leave the classroom to arrange and rehearse the story of their ´getting together´ because they will be interviewed by the immigration officers separately. Meanwhile the officers prepare a list of questions which they will ask the couple. Should they find more than three discrepancies the couple will be sent back to Spain (change with Word to personalise activity for your students).

25 minute activity. Use in conjunction with the film if possible.
