worksheet for telephone role play
2 simple but effective worksheets- instructions for role play in pairs on telephoning (1 client, 1 person answering phone).
The vocabulary for the instructions is upper-int to advanced and in British English.
Iīve found it useful for revision of vocab: answering the phone, making appointments and "getting back" to someone, also of complaining and apologising.
You can cut up the papers into individual scenarios and place face down, writing the scenario numbers on the back. Students could chose scenario numbers at random and swap being client/ person answering phone, ideally sitting back to back to approximate phoning.
