First Day of Class Survey Activity Intermediate Level
Basic Conversation Class Introductory Survey Activity
The results are useful to the teacher, as the length of the commute, amount of sleep, level of confidence, etc. that the students report may explain why some students are more lackluster than others! ;-)
Teacher Instructions:
1. insert missing info
2. print out sheet
3. cut into strips along the horizontal lines of the table
4. explain what surveys are and how to tally/jot down results
5. explain the difference between the survey question (ex. How many people have jobs? ) and the question they must ask each individual (ex. Do you have a job?)
6. distribute slips
7. check that each student understands what question they must ask as they proceed to survey their classmates
8. have students share results with a partner or if class size is small enough, share with the class
