1st Day Icebreaker Questions
NOTE: This worksheet has been designed for adult ESL learners but could easily be adapted for all ages.*** These are questions which can be used the first day of class to help break the ice, initiate meaningful communication between students, and gather information. Teachers can pair students for this activity. Alternatively, they can assign one question to each student in the class who then circulates around the room getting numerous answers to his or her particular question. (FYI: You can use the additional form I have uploaded for students to easily record this information.) In either case, answers can be discussed as a group and/or sheets can be collected and reviewed by the teacher after the lesson.
