Just say No
This is a reading activity based on an essay published at www.thisibelieve.org, which is a great source of essays on many different topics. In this particular one,the author talks about choosing to say no to some of our modern world "must-haves": a car, a cell phone, pierced ears...there are two pre-reading activities, which include a discussion and a vocabulary-building exercise to prepare the readers to understand the text more easily, and two after-you-read questions for writing practice or further discussion in class. There is also a key for the vocabulary-building exercise. I hope you like it.
