If clauses (1st and 2nd Cond.) in context, through a Communicative approach - for Upper Intermediate and Advanced Students
2 students are on their way home. Tomorrow one has an English test and the other tests her knowledge by giving her different situations in which she will have to reply with an appropriate if clause using expressions from the bubble: "You want to travel around the world. You don´t have money. You would say...." "If I had money/ If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world." If your students are very good, you can delete the bubble with the expressions they have to use and adjust the instruction: Build up an appropriate if -clause to each situation, following the model... KEY INCLUDED. I was inspired by the excellent work of Michael Vince, Intermediate Language Practice, Heinemann ELT, but I tried to create my own situations. Have a good evening/day! Hugs, mena:)))
