Animal Project Animal Project

I used this with my ELD1 students in HS to foster writing and cross-curricular studies. They had just learned about ecosystems and food chains in their biology classes, but were having difficulties fully understanding the concepts. We studied different animals, ecosystems, and food chains using different textbooks. Then they each chose a different animal to read about. From there, they each presented orally to the class with visual aids and writing about their animals and the ecosystems and food chains they belonged to.
