The Grocery Shop Project
This is a simple but great activity for a field trip to a grocery shop (named "Zabka" in the example - you can change it). Before the trip, students think what they suppose they will see in the grocery shop and they write down questions about it. Then the worksheets are swapped at random between the students and each student takes one anothers worksheet to the trip. Then whole group goes on a field trip to the grocery shop and (by the shopkeepers permission) they examine the interior of the shop to answer the questions in their worksheet. Finally the group comes back to the classroom, worksheets are given back to the authors of the questions and they check if the answers were true. The teacher provides feedback on the correctness of the questions. Each grammatically correct question and each content-wise correct answer earns the student a point.
