Musical Genres and Cloze Gap
I used this worksheet with junior high school and more advanced learners in China and Taiwan. The information contained on the worksheet can be used to spark conversations about music, musical styles, likes and dislikes etc. In support of the musical genres sheet I made a CD with a selection of different songs and styles and had the students listen and name the genre. Lots of fun if you mix it up with Heavy Metal, Rap, Classical etc. The songsheet lyrics support Cloze Gap exercises that you will need to provide a CD / Mp3 recording for but they are easily attained.
