Grammar review
Instructions for the teacher:
Print pages 1 to 3, laminate the sheets and cut the cards out.
Give each student in your class a question card. Every student is allowed to decide on their own which of their classmates they want to ask their question, but no one can be asked a second question until all students have answered once.
There are 2 possibilities: Either the student can answer the question correctly, which means he/she stays in the competition, or the student is not able to answer the question. This means he/she is not allowed to play any longer. If she/he still has a question card, she/he must give it to another student. It’s their own choice who they want to give their card to.
As long as a student has another card which he received from somebody else, she/he cannot be thrown out of the game. Here’s an example: there’s a student who has not been asked a question by someone else so far which means that (s)he still has her/his own question card. Moreover, he/she received another card from a classmate who wasn’t allowed to stay in the contest, because they didn’t give a correct answer. This means that this student has 2 cards now. So if (s)he loses one of these cards, he/she is still allowed to participate in the competition, because he/she still owns a second card.
The students ask each other questions until there are only 2 ss left who play the game. These 2 ss continue to play until one of them is not able to answer a question right. The other one is the winner and therefore the “Grammar King / Queen of The Day”!!!
I have included a sheet of empty question cards, so you can create more questions, or have the students make their own.
