Business presentations - Lead-in question role-play
Tell the students that in business presentations in English, just like many other languages and cultures, we often start our presentations with questions to foster interest in the attendees.
You could also do a quick session on tag questions if they have a low level and need to practice.
There are 4 business situations whereby somebody has to convince another group of people to either buy their products or say yes to their projects.
Cut out the presentation cards and give one card to one pair of participants.
The participants work in pairs to write the lead-in questions for the opening phase of their presentation.
One of the participants then gets up and delivers the lead-in questions.
Each pair should only take 3 minutes to introduce their products or projects.
