Hi! I loved this worksheet! First show the ss any commercials youīll find in you tube. Please donīt forget about social commercials and award winning ones. Especially I love the French one with the boy and the dad (some sport newspaper).. olimpic games and so on. Make the ss choose the one they like and describe it as if they are copywriters. Also make them answer the questions about the target audience and the message of the commercial. After getting to know the mail principles of advertisement give each student a piece of paper. Let them draw any object they want. Then switch the papers and ask to creat a commercial for this product (headline, scenario - you can offer to invite some celebrity - slogan included) Afterwards let them analize their ads, try to find the hidden message, guess the tipe of the commercial, influence on audience and so on... you can compare with the vivid examples from your own country. Enjoy. Also you can ask student to write just the names of the object, each student picks a piece of peper and has to make a slogen for it. Other have to guess the object or product being advertised.
