What is Beauty?
Used alongside a very successful discussion class of what is considered beautiful. I start off with the Dove´s Real Beauty commercial and have them brainstorm and write how "beautiful people" look in advertisements. Discuss beauty in different time periods and countries and how the most beautiful person from one country would be considered ugly in a different country. End with an essay explaining to a time traveler why people today do such strange things to look pretty. Enjoy!
