3 pages of Phonic Comics with ew: worksheet, comic dialogue and key (#30)
Hi,
There are 3 of my worksheets today.
The "ew" sound has two distinct pronunciations. American and British pronunciations are clearly different in some cases. Whenever possible I avoid using words which have alternative spellings so more teachers can use these difficult to edit worksheets. For example I avoided the use of jewelry/jewellery.
As I said, the format has been changed. I had a very good reaction to this "comic" format from my friends and now I would like some feedback from other teachers. Notice the small picture on the top right hand side of the dialogues, this tells the teacher, and the students, what the target sound/spelling is.
There is a free tutorial here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=371922#thetop#, which will tell you more about comic dialogues.
