Facebook Manners
I found this funny video on YouTube and I was sure my teenager students would love it! In the video, we see a girl who seems to live in the 1950´s, but she checks on her facebook account. She notices that her boyfriend changed her status without telling her so she gets mad and wants revenge... It is funny because it reflects an actual reality and it makes students think about how time-wasting or dangerous facebook can be sometimes. I had great discussions with my students about it. (I also used the video to explain them the concept of communism... watch the video and you´ll understand! : ) ) My worksheet includes a before you watch, while you watch and after you watch parts. I also included some discussion questions, but there are many ways to have students discuss as facebook is their reality and they definitely have an opinion about it! It is also a good understanding practise. Hope you like it. Correction key is included!
